Wireless Interactive Demonstration Development
In spring of 2015, a prototype of middleware has been developed in our lab to connect different input devices with a VR headset. Because of time limit, only a simple game has been made to demonstrate the functionality of this prototype. In this semester project, existing prototype will be given to test with different VR tracking and input devices, such as Phasespace active tracking system, wiimote controller and etc. A wireless HMD will be used to generate 3D vision and user movement will be tracked by Phasespace. At the end of semester, a full immersive interactive game using controllers should be designed and realized for upcoming visitors of IIG. Game development with Unity3D (C#) is required.
– Integrate the middleware package, give modifications to the source code if needed.
– Define a game scenario
– Define variables that used for different levels.
– Performance report in the end of the game.
– Add effect, including audio, visual, shader or vibration.
– GUI Menus of game.
