Inattention measuring with Eye Tracking device

Background: 

Eye tracking is the process of measuring either the point of gaze (where is user is looking at) or the motion of an eye relative to the head. An eye tracker is a device for measuring eye positions and eye movement on the screen. Recently we received a brand new eye tracker device, EYE TRIBE (https://theeyetribe.com/) it relies on infrared illumination and uses mathematical models to determine the point of gaze.

Project idea:

From previous studies we learned that most of traffic accidents come from inattention. It is suspected that human inattention played a major role in daily accident as well. In this project, we are going to create a protocol and develop a scenario to measure the human inattention on risk. For example, an interactive game could be developed during the coming semester, which measure the human point of gaze and moment of the attentive gaze on the screen, etc. Based on these results captured by eye tracking, we could personalized the following training scenario in a larger scale.

Developments / Requirement:

The development of this project is based on the interactive render engine, Unity 3D ver 5.x (especially on 2D game components) with EYE Tribe tracking system.
